great day on pool 2 10/19/2010

Me and a buddy fished pool 2 today with fairly good success. We managed 14 walleyes, a 28 24 23 being the biggest with a couple 20 inchers and the rest between 15-18. We also managed about 10 crappies most were between 10-12 inches with the biggest being about 14in along with the crappies we caught white bass a couple 3-4lb channels and to our amazment very few sheephead. All are fish but one walleye were caught on jigs tipped with crawlers or fatheads, the biggest walleye came on a crawler in 5 fow.

Someone had a not so good day on P2, they fished a body out of the water and he was on the bank in front of our shop. I didn’t go check it out but a couple people at work did, said it looked like he had been in the water a while. Glad to hear you had a good day fishing and didn’t run into that.

Got into them pretty good today too!! Fishing with the dog and he has not figured out how to work the camera yet. Second pic is a fat 26er, that was the big one for the outing. All on cranks again. Red and Firetiger both good colors.

Off all week! What to do? P2 going and Mille Lacs calling. Decisions, decisions…..
