Hey Guys. A friend of mine lives in EC and wants to head out and fish pool 4 this weekend. Anyone been fishing out there? Are the fish biting? What are most guys doing to catch fish right now. Any info is appreciated.
    Thanks

If you mean from Everts up to the Dam it is traditionally a slow time of the year for Walleye, with most anglers down stream on Lake Pepin trolling.
But if you watch the jig dragging video with James and Jason you’ll note that there are always some Walleyes available on P-4 during the summer.

Quite the contrary, fishing can be GREAT all summer long on pool 4 in the river system. This year has just been little different with the higher water than normal and dirtier than years past. Typically, during the summer 30 fish (walleye) days can be more the norm than the exception-with all the benefits of an empty river.
But, as always, they just don’t jump in the boat.

    Good luck!

The lake bite overall is probably the most consistant vs the river bite as of now. Leadcore n cranks on the lake is a great search tool, and rigging bait on those fish holding spots have been pretty reliable the past few days. Leeches & crawlers. The river bite has produced more quality than quanity as of late.Dragging jigs and longlining cranks are a good place to start!
