On water about 7a and fished until about 2p. Mostly pulled 3 ways and picked up 7 walleye/sauger. We caught between 5 and 10 sheephead for every walleye/sauger. Also picked up a few nice white bass and a northern. Tried a Dubuque Rig and caught the first sauger on a 1 oz. dropper jig with a white twister tail. Pitched jigs and caught a mix of a few gills, couple crappie, more sheephead, couple perch, couple small bass. Did I mention sheephead?

Sheephead did frustrate me at one time but then I learned that they are about the only thing in the system which eats zebra mussel in significant quantity. So, I just chuckle at the sheepish look on their face and toss them back in.

Nice day, nice weather, nice outing.

3 waying to slow? Try speeding up the presentation.

Thanks for the tip Chappy. We were going about 1 mph according to my cousin’s blackberry gps. I still have plenty to learn. Next time I will try to kick it up a notch.
