After a month of really good fishing,…Lake Pepin seems to have settled down. Everyone seems to be getting a few pulling bait on points but not 2-3 hour limits that were common in the last month. While only 4 fish yesterday,…I enjoyed catching a 27″ that really fought hard. (by myself so sorry no pictures) I started today with 2 quick walleyes on minnows this morning and then finally switching to leeches to get a couple more late in the morning. Right now,..the sauger seemed to have moved off the points,..only 1 keeper this weekend. I talked to a couple of boats that trolled all morning with only a few small ones to show for it. Perhaps a change in weather will bring them back around. Good fishing!

x3 Went out with my neighbor today to check out his new HB with SI. Worked great but only a few shorts for the few hours we were out. I guess Im not sure if I fully understand the SI yet but looked like all the fish we saw were out deeper like 17+fow. Saw some trees and looked at a few rock piles so I think we were reading it correctly. We could also see the weeds in covil channel. I need structure scan in my boat. Why did they have to make the upgrade so expensive! Paid over a grand for the unit and SC is another 500+….

We found them in the shallows pulling cranks. 7.5 feet was the ticket. All eyes all 16/20 best time today was 3/4 PM.
