    Hey everyone,
After a long 3 weeks in California I managed to slip away for a day and hit up pool 4. I was not dissapointed to say the least. The bite was not fast and furious but we were also not looking for numbers. The quality was outstanding with our smallest fish being 19″.

We spent most of the day trolling shadraps and flickershads in 12-15ft of water. We had a number of 19-21″ fish but not the bigger ones we were looking for.

So we switched to pitching jigs and cranks to shoreline structure. Again we were not dissapointed. Pictured here is our trophy fish of the day. The monster hit a 1/8th oz jig and crawler.

Overall a great day on the water with good friends.

Your dad caught the sheephead didn’t he?

Good to see you on the water again Chris!

Nope I did. I wasn’t even out with dad, my buddy luke took the pictures. I’m still working on getting him a big fish.

OK Brian, stop picking on the old guy! Sounds like a pretty good day son—any gas left in the boat

Nice goat!!! Where were you at in Cali? NTC? For your sake I hope not, and remind the old man that we only leave their gas tanks empty to remind them not to let their fuel get old. If they take issue with it, they should be fishing more.

Don’t encourage him Sean When I am out fishing I come home and the car has fast food wrappers and all in it so it must just be a “son” thing. Oh well, at least I kicked his butt in the tourney Saturday
