Anyone been out lately on pool 14. I’ve not been out since the snow hit, but have seen boats out. City of Clinton maintains the 25th Ave ramp and parking lot, but if there is fresh snow it may take them a day or two to get to it. Use the north side of the ramp if you go. South side is full of BIG rocks in the water.

If anyone gets out on 13, 14 or 15, let us know how it goes

Cabin fever is setting in big time!

    Hey John,

I’ll look at my schedule and work on that Illinois river prefish. I have never fished that river but would love to find some of those big Redwing-like saugers I hear they have over there! I’ll get back with you soon.

Hey kreading, I’ve been the goat a lot more than the babe this winter. Seems the days I think we should fill the boat we get squat, and blue bird high sky North wind days have been o.k. Ya just never know about these fish, but I guess that’s what keeps us chasing them ‘eh?

Rooster I wason pool 13 Fri. 2-8-02 fishing was real slow, we worked the area from the cabins down to pleasant creek for 5 hours and not so much as a tug on the line. we vertically jigged and pulled 3-ways there were 3 other boats working this shoreline and I didn,t see another fish caught.I heard it was slow at the dam also. But what a day to be off work. LOL

    BIGJIGGER2002,

Thanks for the Pool 13 update. I have heard it has been very tough there. I got out Saturday on 14, very tough also. LOTS of ice coming down and much higher current than I expected. Fished wings, current breaks, deep holes, and a little time in the tail water with no fish. I believe if conditions are the same next time out I’ll concentrate on sand flats and slough mouths. I marked fish on the sand but ran out of time.
