Got out for a few hours yesterday on pool 9. I didn’t find much in the backwaters, but found some active walleye and saugers on some wing dams. Cranks caught some, but most came on dubuque rigs with crawlers. Sure was a beauty of a day out. Anybody else been out on 9 or 10?
Been chasing morels as of late. That season is coming to a scretching hault.
The season is just about to start. In Guttenberg, we’re just starting to find walters on the wingdams. Pretty soon they’ll be rocking. Lynxville and Genoa haven’t done much for me lately, but Gberg has been good! Good luck!
Was on pool 9 the weekend before and it was very poor. A large storm came through just before we got there and lasted a couple days. The Saturday we fished the winds were out of the south at 20 to 30 mph. Boat control was impossible. Sunday the water was like glass, picked up a few that morning then headed home. Next trip planned for pool 9 is the first weekend of June.
