Can a person run the back channel o.k. or is the water too low? Thanks

Water was getting very shallow by the high lines last weekend.

Last weekend it was getting pretty skinny, I’m not sure how much the water went down over the week but be careful back there. We hit a tree that stopped us dead and knocked me down, it must have been just under the water but we didnt see any evidence of it before or after we hit .

We ran it last Saturday but it was getting very iffy like everyone said. I know a lot of people have stopped running it because it is at the point now where one wrong move and you are grounded.

I ran through on Tuesday. Brushed some sand on the way down but slid over just a bit a grit my teeth harder and was fine on the way up.
    Be careful!

Do yourself a favor and float across-otherwise after seeing how skinny it was last Tuesday-I’d go around.

    Hey Doc,
Prop repair guys need to work too I know mine will be seeing me again after this weekend I am sure. You guys should all chip in for my prop repair since I am dredging a trench through there for you. The boy ran it wide open Sunday and never touched at all but he is in California playing Army this weekend so I am sure the track he left me will get me in trouble

Underneath the highline on the MN side(below the bar)there is a tree in 10FOW right underneath the surface–like I told my buddy Steve last Tuesday “that is a day wrecker”. I have a feeling the boat race in the first 20 min. won’t determine the outcome of tomorrows tourney–but it might beach a few rigs. Not near bad as last summer when the bass guys all ran up on the bar-but it may stick a few.

What makes you think I am going that way Jesse I know the log you are talking about Doc and it definitely could get ugly if someone hits it wrong. There is no give to that thing at all.

I put a coffee can on dean’s counter for you Rich!!! shoot me a pic of your past prop(s) so I can duct tape it to the side of the can. Think I’ll slow down and float across.

I also ran it on tuesday and didnt have any issues. I havent looked to see how much the water has dropped since than but if it has went down 4 or 5 inches since tuesday it will be a bad thing!!

Not sure why but I had no problem running it this weekend. It is like the sand has shifted or something because the line we ran Wednesday has a little more water now. Hey Doc, Jesse has a picture somewhere of one of my old props. I think I set a record this weekend—I still have the same prop on I started with
