Spent the last three days fishing pool 4 with several friends. We caught a few eaters each day but had to work for them along with some tiny saugers. Did some hog hunting downstream pitching blades and ringworms. Luckly we got a call from home telling us to get off the water Friday and ended up at the dock when the wind and lightning hit. Got dried off and went back out for the evening bite and where there are normally 30+ boats there were four so we started Dubuque rigging and dragging jigs. Thats when the big girl hit a problue jighead(thanks for the tip) My buddy Zak did a perfect netting and my new PR was in the boat. 29.5″ 11 lb. We saw two other 9 lb walleyes boated that evening and heard of a few others. As you can see the big eyes are spawned out so adjust your fishing plans accordingly. I think most fish are still swimming around in the trees and until the water drops the big numbers will be tough but its still the time to hawg hunt.
