    It’s been pretty quiet today

Does anyone have an access update they can share?

Last I heard Evert’s was still open but with limited parking – is this still accurate?

Does anyone know for sure if Coville was shut down?

What about Bay Point? Last I heard was still some ice in the way…

    Thanks –

I’ll be looking for somewhere to put in tomorrow.

This is from the Minnesota Outdoor News – Water levels are up on the Mississippi River, but it is fishable. Hair jigs tipped with fatheads or blade baits are producing sauger in 16 to 25 feet and a few walleyes in 10 to 15 feet. Better areas are the High Bridge, Baypoint Park, Hay Creek, the “Y” towards the dam, and below the dam on the Wisconsin side. Most boats are being put in on the Wisconsin side, but the Covill Park access on the Minnesota side is open as well.

The crest is tonight so it’s going to start coming down slowly. Access will be about the same as it’s been for the last two day for the next two days as far as levels.

You can not rely on that info by the time the outdoor news reaches your mail box it is old news. Keep checking back here someone will have an update I am sure.

The first boat broke a path at Baypoint this am. Should be good to go.

Thanks for the reports. Thanks for the update on Bay Point Marty, I know there is a group of guys coming up that usually use that access so that is good to hear.

A friend of mine used the WI channel access yesterday but was not really sure if he was on the ramp or not but got in and out ok. He also said the parking lot was usable but covered with a few inches of water – hard to tell where you are and what is under the water in the deeper areas…

    Thanks again,
    Dave

Bay City was good today, but there is a rope from the end of the dock to a tree on shore, laying down in the water. Watch out for that. There is also no fish down there.

I heard that Barricades are in place at Bay point park.
    This was told to me.
I know first hand that they are in place at Coeville and Bills Bay because that is where I was launching.
Yesterday I launched at Genes used the high ramp in the trees, and to say the water is swift is putting it mildly.
I have never seen the water this high this early with a ton of debris.
So if you go be very careful watch your speed.
