I’m coming up to fish pool 4 March 26-April 3rd come hell or high water.

Last year we came the same week and faced high water and dropping water temps. We mainly pitched flooded timber and current seams with plastics and blades and had limited success (did catch a 10.4 PB) Should we stick with the same game plan this year or would you recommend a different plan of attack? Do you guys anticipate the water temps coming up at all within the next week?

There is prob. somebody better too answer all of your questions but i beleive by the time you get here the temps will be coming up and the bit should be getting better i think the crest for red wing is like wed. maybe after that the water should start to go down and warm up pending the weather. your game plan sounds good too me but i would be prepared to change it up maybe do some rigging (three waying and such) and dragging and even jigging but do what your comfortable doing most people are more successful whne they stick too what they know.

    Good Luck!!

The water may be several feet higher than last year, I was here that same week last year. You will be even further into the trees…but the fish will be there too.
