Went to Lynxville dam fishing Sunday. The ice could be thicker and it wouldn’t hurt my feelings one bit…The last cold blast froze the ice chunks together so the ice thickness varies from 4″ to 10″. The fishing continues to be ssslllooowww, according to the locals… I ended up with 5-saugers and 1-walleye just under 4#. Used a jigging Rapala (Gulp instead of live minnows)and a gold Zip..

Don’t blame you a bit Herb.I try and get out everyday and I still get a little nervous and this year I’ve got use of a hovvercraft. And I still will not take people out just to sell a few minnows. When and if the Ice gets good enough everyone will know.Just keep watching!!!!!!

I was out there also on Sunday for a bit. I agree whole heartedly on the ‘could use more ice’ statement.
Los Lojos, glad to hear you stuck with it and iced a few. I was just not comfortable with the ice. Maybe give it another week?
My friend and I went further north and fished some holes for eyes and found better ice (6-10 inches). Only brought 4 up the hole and only one sauger made the trip home.
I’ll be back up this weekend.

Len, I was one of the guys in for chili around 1. Have you gotten much snow from last night til tonight?
