thank you trumar.. i called and no answer but last year we used the beach for about 2 weeks before the ramp was able to be used. He had a box out to pay but the bait house was closed. maybe someone was down there today and will chime in.

You could always put in at fountain city and run up the channel to get to bass camp. Both landings in fountain city are open and ready for use.

Yes the south landing is open or you could put in at the one next to the Wingdam saloon.

Bass Camp is open the high water landing by the big dock. I pushed the ice out of there on tuesday 03/09/2010 happy fishing boat launch fee is $7 and there is a box right on the tree by the landing to pay. Happy fishing

Reedrat, did you make it out or just stop by to push some ice? If you got out, how is the bite? I was on pool 5 yesterday and it was slow. We did end up getting some for the pan but we fished from about 8am – 5pm.

Thanks, I may try to get out there this weekend if I can get one of the boats ready. I might have to bust out the flat since it is closer than my fishing boat.

The high water ramp at Bass Camp is open and in decent shape, I used it today. The bait shop is also open which I did not know until I got there.

The bite was tough today, kind of like the “could have been worse start” at the ramp. I clipped the launch rope to the trailer and when my son grabbed the line, he did not un-clip it from the trailer. I nearly towed the boat back up the ramp Nobody got hurt but it did bust off my transducer so we had to fish “blind” today. At least it was just the flat and not my fishing boat.

I should note, this was as much if not more my fault for being in a hurry. I should have paid more attention and slowed down. Take your time and be safe out there.

It was a tough bite with only one short eye in the boat today. My son caught a 4# sheepie and I caught a 10# flat but that was about it. We jumped around through a lot of spots and only saw one fish caught by another boat. The river is very fishable but we just could not get it done today.
