    Guys,

I just got back from our winter get-away and had to check out the walleye bite. I spent 6 hours looking around upper pool 5 and found a couple schools of smaller walleyes. I had around 15 fish and about half were over 15″. All came dragging downstream, with a oystershell paddle tail on a 1/8 oz head. 18-20′ seemed to be the right depth. I kept 2 17″ for dinner. It was a little slow but still fun to get out.

    Thanks for the report

How is the landing area looking? I have heard most of the boats have been up by the dam–any luck down below the power plant

    Thanks

One ramp is open and in good shape. Most of what I found was below the the power plant.

No pictures from Thursday but here is one from today. we had a dozen walleye from 11:00-3:00 and 7 were keepers. The one in the picture went 25.5″ and went back. Dragging oystershell paddletails worked again today.

Nice looking fish John. I’m going to try my maiden voyage on P5 tommorrow. If the fish co-operate that will be a bonus. With the weather forcast,it should be a heck of a day for being on the water. Watching the sunrise over the bluffs with all the Eagles soaring & having a warm cup of joe in hand, also having the bonus chance of hooking some piggies. Wahoooooo c-mon spring.
