A little late but here it is nonetheless. Got to Evert’s about 8 am. Started by dam in scour hole and drifting back. 3/8 oz chart fireballs with minnow. Left by 3:15 no minnows caught about 50 saugers with some eyes mixed in. Biggest sauger about 24 inches. Tried plastics (doos and k-grubs) but had very little luck. Must be doing something wrong on them. Pretty happy with our production that day though. Got 2 more new guys hooked on the river.

Thank for the update Pax! A 24″ sauger? WOW ! That’s one nice sauger . Did you get a picture of that pig? How deep of water was that beast caught in?

Sorry took pics with a disposable and then threw it in the ice shack. When I get them developed I’ll try and post it. Guessing it weighed about 6 – 6 1/2? Didn’t weigh it. Caught in about 18 feet. Right out in front of that little outhouse looking bulding by the dam.

The Minnesota State record Sauger is 6 lbs, 3 ounces. That would be one heck of a fish.
