Went with PaulV today down to pool 4, could not get down til around 10:30am or so, I knew the cold front had passed but hey I didn’t have to work til later on. Have not been able to get down for awhile, and knew Sunday was out of the question (temps). overall quite a slow day, used Ringworms and Doo’s, throwing shallow for the first hour, then we just wanted to boat a few fish, Jigging ( the old fashion way) and not much there either. got a few, but they were small, one boat close by got a few better fish on jig and minnows, mayber 17 to 18’s inches. we did look in the wingdams areas for a few Crappies and found a few, and pictures are included. small jigs and wax worms was all we had to offer. that was quite slow, but stuck it out for about an hour and a half, and boated about 10 Crappies, biggest was 12 1/2 inches pictured here, and the next photo, was the 12 1/2 with one PaulV caught at the same time was a solid 11″er. only had 1 over 12, about 4 that were 11’s, handful of 9’s and 10’s. that again was slow but fun., Wind did pickup right along with the forecast and made boat control tough, but PaulV did great and giving up some good drifts looking for a few more jigging fish. again there were some smaller fish on the plastics, but nothing nice. maybe 15 boats by late morning, down to about 10 by early afternoon. EVERT’s ramps were perfect, no problems at all. looks like boats are draining trailers when pulling in and out, he has a new steeper ramp near the cleaning house, quite nice. thanks STEVE (steve, I knocked on the door when we were leaving to say goodbye, but all seemed quiet, so did not want to BANG the door in) . More soon, and good to be back on the water. Jack.
    1st pic the a 12 1/2 inch Crappie.

Nice pics Jack. I was probably snoozing. . That cold front seemed to slow things down that day. Nobody here today! It is darn cold!
