I just spent three days on pool 4. The bite was not as good as normal , but we still caught plenty of fish. The water temp was in the mid 40’s, not good. The bulk of the fish I think are still in the lake , but there are enough around to keep you busy. We would start are day well before light pitching ringworm to rock and sand banks. The fish were there just not the numbers we were use to. One bonus with the warm water was the smallmouth bass were still biting good on ringies. We also found a good vertical bite going good down river. The little bit of time we spent up by the dam was very unproductive. We would end are day back pitching shallow areas intill after dark. The biggest eye of the trip came before light by my Dad a very fat 23 inch fish. No pool 4 giants for us this trip , but we still had a great time. Thanks Dean for your normal great tips. I’m already looking forward to this springs trip.
