Not sure why there was about 200 boats up by the dam on Saturday, the sauger are definitly NOT biting. Don’t bother joining the crowd. By the way, does anyone have a good recipe for beer batter?

The bite was better after 4 on Saturday up by the dam for size and numbers
November 23, 2009 at 4:40 pm #817875I would have to disagree. We caught well over 50 fish on Saturday from about 8am – 3 pm. We had a blast.
November 23, 2009 at 4:46 pm #817878We left the dam early in the day cuz the size was not there. Found our bigger fish downstream tho not as many. Came back up around 3 and managed to put 3 more small keepers in the box. A ton of 5-6 inch fish everywhere.

Me too, I was joking, the sauger bite was on fire. 40 to 50 fish boated. Hence, the beer batter recipe.

Oh I get it now. I’m a little slow.
That’s OK, it is monday after all. And we are all tired from hauling in fish all weekend.
November 23, 2009 at 5:18 pm #817889All you guys up at the dam and not one of you said HI!
That’s right, I forgot to wear my fushia Everts hat!
We were the little Lund that only caught on 5 inch…er 5 foot fish.
November 23, 2009 at 5:20 pm #817890After seeing everyone at Everts I was wondering where the reports were
P.S. It’s hard to tell who someone is by an avatar. If you stop in to Everts to say hi and you know us (Dean,BK,Jeff,Eric R.,Jim B.,Tim and myself) we dont always know you, please take a minute and introduce your selves. Thank you very much

BK,
I think I saw that 5 footer come in. You guys definitely had your hands full in that little Lund. I thought you were gonna tip a couple times!!
I guess I am assuming you were the ones who caught that 45-50 lb. Sturgeon early Saturday afternoon. We were heading back to Everts for some lunch and saw it get wrestled over the side of the boat……after a few attemptsNovember 23, 2009 at 6:12 pm #817909

That would have been us. I was wondering why Mike was trying to grab my pants! After brushing him off a couple times, he was just concerned that I was too far over the edge.
Bret would not have been pleased.
Note to self…take the old reliable Beckman along next time.
