Mark Steffes and I are going to take our daughters out for some Pool 4 sauger fun on Sunday.

The weather looks great for our young angler guests…upper 40s and sunny. Perhaps one of the last nice days this fall, before the snow starts to fly in earnest.

The bite is solid right now, so the fishing action should be strong enough to keep their attention for the time that we’re out.

If you’re a Dad with a daughter, young or old, bring her down and treat her to a day in the boat with Dad.

Mark and I plan to fish from 10-2. Hope to see some of you other Dads with daughters down there too! If we have enough of a group together, we’ll get some pictures taken with, and without, the day’s catch.

Note: this is VERY informal. Bring your boat and your girl(s) and enjoy some time in the sun together. If you’re a Pool 4 newbie, I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

    Hope to see you there!

One of the twins has been driving me nuts about going, maybe we’ll see you guys. Probably should hit Fleet Farm for some of those circus peanuts for BK?

I’ll be there for the first time starting on sun with a bro in law from il and cousin from min(do they count as girls ), seriously besides the obvious fishing trip I’m hoping to scope things out for a family vaca this summer and will be bringing the 2 daughters then, we have been going to the minoqua area but its getting way overpriced in that area, the family wants to see the red wing area and mall of america as well and they need a little warmer weather too, maybe a father-daughte day would go over good next summer too

Hey Dean, what do you charge to launch? And is my truck safe with BK there?

7 bucks a launch for ice free ramps when that time of year comes as well! Your fine with BK he keeps the skunks and varmits away as well so it is kinda an ok deal when all is said and done…..if he has that look in his eye just wave a little stink bait in his face and he will snap out of it.

I’ve got a forgotten live well full of 7 week old fatheads and suckers, will that work? Dean, please put the keys for the tractor away or I’m not coming. If you do, I’ll talk to the FW and have her make some cookies, just for you.

Unbelievable: Sunday’s forecast is partly sunny and mid 50s!

Should be a great time on the water. Come on down and join the rest of the Dads and daughters for some mid-day sauger fun…..and since the football game is a late start, you’ll still be able to get home for the 2nd half.

I was the guy with the fuchsia metallic hat on out there.

Excuse me for typing with my mouth full of chocolaty pleasure.

I saw that hat & checked the girl’s & they said that hat was very pink not fuchsia.
