I hit the water at day break and it did not take long to start catching fish . The first fish was a fat 25.5 incher . We caught a few fish early , but the bite really kicked in when the snow was coming down. We ended up with 13 walleyes , 1 smallmouth and 12 white bass. It was a little cold for early Oct. but the fish kept us busy so we didn’t freeze. Plastic , cranks and hair and plastic all caught fish today. The fall bite is starting to take shape, it should only get better as the water temps fall. See you on the water….

    Way to go!
Was slow for me on 16 yesterday, I knew I should have hit it again today!

I made it out Thursday in the rain, not as good a day but had 3 walleyes between 20.5 and 24″. Fished by the dam for a brief while, but caught whites, crappies and bluegills there…

I could not believe in 4 hours of fishing I never saw another boat. Fished from the dam to Albany. Kinda nice having the river to yourself, but I was really surprised a little rain kept the anglers away!

We made it over to Pool 13 Friday. Started out at the tailwater and got a few small sauger and saw a few keepers caught. We did manage 1-23″ there before heading to some spots downstream. Managed 3 more walleyes all 21-22″. We also caught 2 of the biggest white bass I’ve ever seen or caught. All in all not a bad day. Water was 53 degrees so it’s just around the corner!!
