Another Pool #4 Trophy

I have the opportunity to witness many trophy fish here on pool 4 and it is very rare to see a fish exceed the 30 inch mark.Congrats to Doug & Gary doubling up on a 31 inch and a 28 at the same time. The 31 weighed in at 10.2 pounds.Although not the heaviest of fish I have seen, there was good reason for this fish to have lost a bit of weight. This fish had a jointed shad rap lodged in its mouth from a recent hook up from another angler. This is probably one time a fish was happy to have been caught. These 2 anglers also had another 28 plus inch to the boat as well. The 31 inch fish should be identifiable should it be caught again as it has a prominent scar on one of its cheeks.

We are also seeing a handfull of nice crappies coming to the boat as well as seen here. Thanks for sharing these pics Marty Hahn! The smaller saugers are starting to show themselves with a bit more regularity as well.

Although the full blown fall bite is not completely upon us yet,the recent cool down & rain is heading it in the right direction! For more info on the current pool 4 bite, be sure to check out Dustin Stewerts latest

report . Hope to see ya on the river soon!

Its not often that a 28″ walleye looks small….but next to that tank…..

Nice fish! I hope to get one someday..

Anyone heading to Pool 4 tomorrow? I should be out there I think alone. Look for the Alumacraft Magnum 175cs with the guy in the blue Ice Armor.
