its been a while since i have been down there, i was wondering if the backwaters are still fishable. is it filled up with lillies bad or not. i plan to take a canoe down there, but might not if the water is too jammed with lillies and weeds.
Travel further south to Wabasha and do those backwaters. There are virtual miles and miles of places to explore and to fish. A canoe is an excellent option to do it too.
I was just north of Alma Thursday and the water was more than deep enough everywhere I fished! I caught a very nice Northern on a red and white spoon with a white twister tail on it. Got her right on the edge on the pads.
