    Jig-Head,
I was down on pool 4 on Friday 12/26. Vertical jigging was working well for sauger with a couple very fat walleyes that were 15+ inches and one small sturgeon in the mix. The 2 of us boated and released a total 47(45 sauger/2 walleyes) for the day, most of the sauger were small 12-14 inches but if you are looking for a meal we did have quite a few nice 15-18 inch sauger.
We used only super doos(no meat) on 1/4 ounc jigs, the colors that seemed to work the best were the greens with a few fish coming on some of the brighter colors. We concentrated on depths from 12 – 30 feet with the better fish coming from less than 22 feet. On this day a slow methodical lift and drop with a long pause at the top of the lift seemed to be the ticket. Most of the fish would hit just as you stopped it at the top or as soon as you started dropping it back down after holding it up for 15-45 seconds. Experiment with different jigging techniques and colors because what worked yesterday probably isn’t the hot item today. Good Luck!!

Was on pool 4 both Friday and Saturday. Hair jigs worked best for us, depth ranging between 13 and 20 ft. With the cloud cover Friday picked up decent eyes shallow. The bite saturday was better in the 20ft range. Below the Y and up by the dam were both producing.
