Looking to purchase a few and try out (for 1st time) – just for fun [HOG Hunting ]. Can anyone point me in the direction of the closest place to purchase them from (for fishing on P4)?
I’d be driving south from Rosemount towards Redwing (or further) if necessary.
    Thanks.

Dean’s noted for knowing where to get hard to find stuff.

I’m sure he can point you in the right direction.

When I was at 4 Seasons in Red Wing a week or 2 ago they had a sign out front that said willow cats available so I would check with them. I’m sure they probably still have some.

I’ll check with 4 Seasons or Dean/Everts. That sounds great. I was hoping that I would not have to drive all the way down to Wabasha or Winona to hunt some down.
    Thanks

2 weeks ago I fished a small tourney and had a tough time getting decent cats. The size was poor at all the shops 2 weeks ago, 4 seasons nicer cats had fungus and the smaller cats looked to be ok and they were $15 per dozen. Wabasha had a mix of small/borderline and was getting $26 for 2 dozen. Ace has healthy cats but is getting $16 (Includes Tax) a dozen and out of 13 cats maybe 2-3 are 1.5-1.75 ” max. If West End is in stock that will be your best bet they have them sorted and get $10 for small and $13 for large. Lacresent has some decent cats also and Bob will adjust the price to the quality of bait he has availble.

Winona area cats get picked over pretty heavy by locals before they go into the tanks at times as well. Your going to pay for them either way good luck huntin

Remember any of the shops have fresh supplies coming in, what we see 2 weeks ago might not be whats selling today. Best thing to do is call the shops and see what the supplies are at a what quality of bait were they able to buy from their vendors. Most shops will tell you the honest truth and you can make your decision from there.

I just happen to be heading to LaCrescent tomorrow for work. I can stop at each/any along the way to check out.
….I just have to keep them healthy/alive for one night then.
    Thanks.
