got out last night for a few hours to the wing dams on pool 3. started out hitting a few down by the think tank. anchored on the first one of choice and tryed pitching some jigs, the wind made this very diffacult, it was hard to feel bottom with the wind blowing on the rod tip, after switching jig sizes 3 times finaly desided this was not the best approach. rigged up a lindy rig with a floating jig head and work much better. anyway first dam nothing so we made a move, second dam nothing, move again, now starting to get a little discouraged as we work our way back up stream towards prescott scowering wing dams. finaly came to a very short one that looked to have all the ingrediats for sucsess, good flow, and deep water. anchored up and started fishing, with in 5 min. had a nice 18.5″ in the boat, shortly after had a upper 20’s brake my line at the boat, now it didn’t seem so windy. shortly after had a nice 22.5″ in the boat. now the wind started dieing down and so did the bite. fished for another hour till dark without another bite. leeches were the bait of choice. oh ya my buddy caught a small catfish and a big sheephead.

Sounds like a successful trip. It makes it easier to deal with the wind when you are catching fish. Way to find what they wanted.
