My son (wimwuen) and I made our way to Lake Pepin today to get in on what has been called a very good bite on cranks and leadcore , and we were not disappointed to say the least! At 12:00 noon, the leadcore rod I was standing near doubled over to the water, and after a relatively short battle, a very chunky 29″ walleye came to the net, and while we admired her, a planer board on the other side of the boat went back, and I grabbed that rod and proceeded to haul in a hefty 26″ fish for my second fish in a two minute span! Talk about excitement! The one pic is me with the bigger fish, and the other is of me with both. Both fish were carefully released, and I hope somebody fishing with their son can have the experience we did!
