Fishing is heating up with the water

    Well the fishing is definitely heating up with the water. We were fishing on Pool 7 today. My wife and I were primarily fishing for bass throwing crank baits, but my wife managed to hook up on this nice 20″ walleye. She totally kicked my butt. But I had no trouble catching a few 8-10″ saugers.

    I didn’t mind being out fished by my wife. There’s some sort of pride or enjoyment in taking someone out who doesn’t fish much and they catch a personal best. She usually likes to just go out in the boat and get some sun but I think after yesterday, she’ll have a fishing pole in hand a bit more often!
