We forged the high sea’s yesterday and suffered some slight boat damage while returning to the dock (see “Hit dock thread”). After two hours of no bites by the dam, we headed down the wisconsin side and fished another two hours with no luck. I saw a lot of carp jumping along the shoreline and some turtles basking on logs. We tried two wingdams and pitched sonars, ringworms and twisters. We also floated corks with minnows between 5 and 16 FOW. Although I heard reports earlier that a few saugers and walleyes were being caught from the barge on the Wi side, I didnt see one caught in the two hours we fished by the dam. I haven’t fished the mississippi in years, so being out in the rough stuff was a good experience in boat control (besides the dock issue). Any others fishing pool twelve have any luck with catching anything? If so, lets have the lowdown so I can get on some fish and feed the family……they are getting pretty hungry since I haven’t had any luck yet this year.

I haven’t been able to get out yet because of motor problems.I just got the boat back this weekend so hopefully I can make it out soon. But it doesn’t sound like I missed much yet.
