Is anyone catching any eye’s in this area, or am I just doing something wrong? The water was high and muddy…I haven’t caught anything in last few trips. How about you?

No !!!! You probally saw my last post and things havent changed. Its been so wierd down there this year. The only report that I heard was that some walleyes were being caught off of the barge. Last saturday I saw 4 boats on the wisconsin side walleye fishing. there were 5 or 6 in o’learys fishing. I tried some bass fishing in White City with no luck either. A friend and I hit guttenburg today with not much luck. We caught alot of fish but no size. Water temps were 48 to 49 all day. Hopefully this helps, Dan

we’ve been having the same problem here in pool 16. guys are saying the fish they are catching (very few) are still chock full of eggs.

one guy reported catching a few walleyes while bass fishing in back water flooded timber. guess the highwater opened up new spawning areas

water is down almost 2 ft in 3 days here and the temp is starting to stabilize in the high 40’s and should reach 50 degrees tomorrow i would assume.

hopefully it picks up. i have plenty of eaters now to tide me over until fall but i’d like to get a piggy.

Well I guess its just a matter of time before they get hungry enough to bite again. Dan, I was probably one of the boats on the Wi side you saw last saturday. I fished from the dam down to the train bridge on the Illinios side with no luck. I tried everything from ringworms, sonars, and even minnows on a slip bobber. I will be back out tomarrow and going for some backwater crappies or at least whatever bites. Thanks

Nothing biting even in the backwaters. I tried for crappies, striped bass and bassically anything that would bite. Nothing happening here.
