Water temps were pushing 48 Thurs.night. Didn’t fair too well with the night bite but talking to numerous fisherman a few nice fish were being picked off in the morning hrs.
Water should be real close to 50 or above by the time you read this. Good luck

Fished Guttenberg on 4-11-09 and the water temp was 45-46 degrees…. Some smaller fish being caught by the dam.

Thanks for the update guys, i did make it out on Monday and kept some small ones you were talking about, but did see 5-6 4lbers caught that unfortunatly went into their livewell.

    Thanks, again

We fished Guttenburg on Saturday pretty much all day. Fished all over the pool. There are still walleye & sauger up by the dam but the size isn’t what we were looking for. We did get one good sauger (about 19″) that was still full of eggs. The rest of the fish were either all males (not likely) or had spawned out. We probably boated 50 saugers and walleyes but most were too short. There are alot of really nice current seams downstream both off the main channel and in the back waters. 12-15 feet is were most of our fish came from and hair with meat was the most productive. We never found any fish really shallow but didn’t really spend much time looking for them either.
