Fished Pool 4 of of Everet’s yesterday for the first time since fall.. We caught lots of sauger but most where small.. Lots of foul hooked fish also.. The bite was pretty sporadic at times with little flurries here and there where everyone if you looked was catching fish..

We had luck on a clear colored ringworms with the tails pinched off and a 1/2 ounce Everts silver flaked jighead..

My buddy kept 5 nice sauger.. Best action seemed to be from 2-4..

I am confused! You pinch the tail off a ringworm and put it on an ounce and a half jig??????? Now that is a unique set-up!

5/16 and 1/2 ounce are what Found I needed to stay vertical in the boat, I wasnt running the boat mine is still in storage.. I also found out a few years ago if the bite was tough pinching the tail off resulted in more strikes.. Also Paddle Tails worked, and so did dragging, but the fish on those baits were smaller.
