    That was an even trade chocolate cookies for a nice fish . Well my buddy Jim an I set out this weekend to do a few things find some big fish and try out a new rods by St.Croix we were comparing the Legend tournament to the new Legend Xtreme. We found ther is no comparison the Legend Xtremes we used from Dean at Everts Resort was by far the best rod we have ever fished with. Hands down . from dragging ring worms to pitching blades these rods were just amazing . Jim and I both fish the avids and legend Tournament rods and both are great rods, but needless to say weare taking the step up. If any of you get to Everts ask Dean about the rods im sure he would be glad for you to demo them. Back to the fishing the bite was far from fast but there were a few fish to be caught. The fish in the pic feel to a pitching a blade baits. We fished blades in the morning to afternoon. In the evening we dragged ring worms to put some sauger in the boat for the fry pan. The dragging bite at the last hour of the day to an hour after dark produced some nice eater fish. All in all it was a great relaxing weekend at the river and Everts Resort. I thank Dean for the great hospitality . Again THANKS .

    We need to hit the water this summer.
    Found a nice pro-v last fall, but the shed door is still froze shut so still can’t get to it. Will be on the water by Sat.
