Thought I’d throw in a short report for 12/1 monday. not alot of boats were present, and the winds were still blowing all day which made just being there and holding into the wind all day difficult. Our club had our last outing this sat, sun and mon. 2 boats went sat, which was precoldfront, did very good on Saugers and also great on Crappies, the sunday boat ( strong coldfront) had a very tough day of few fish, and had 3 boats on monday. fishing was better than Sunday but still not easy and not the numbers. most fish were small, with a handful in the 15-17 inch range. I probably caught 20-25 total fish, but only 11 of those were above our club min of 14″. I finally managed a 19″ Sauger just before we left late afternoon. Used mainly SuperDoos and Ringworms, and different colors seemed to catch fish, but no color produced any numbers of better fish. One of the other monday boats had pretty good success on 16-19 inch fish using blue pearl pepper K-tails. half of the bites were quite light, and you could feel the fish hit as I lowed the jig to touch bottom. hope to get back before the end of the week. more soon. sorry no picture fish and all released . Jack.
