Just wondering if the Ice has moved out of the Dam area. Plan on putting in at Belvidere landing and work my way up river on friday.

I was told it looks to be in good shape. The ramp in town sounds like it is being used as well. Not sure how clean it is but is being used by a few boats.
    Good luck to ya!

Just drove by this morning, ice is out at least to the power plant, doesn’t look like many chunks floating around either.

Could a person shore fish from the area up-river of where the float is usually parked? Or is that still iced in? Also, I know a person can’t fish within 300 feet of the damn but I can’t remember the time frame. I am coming from the Minnesota side.

If that isn’t an option……then I will stick with ice fishing for another week!

That area is almost always open. The 300 foot rule applies March 1st thru the last day in April.

Thinking some open water adventures are in the near future! But first a little roadtrip making the river grand tour would be in order. It has been a long 2+ months without being on the open waters. Gotta finish up going through the open water gear because spring is getting near! Best of luck fishing all! WHITE TIP
