went back to river today to check out the shallower rock bite. started out in one area, during the middle of the afternoon and in one 150 yd stretch, caught 2 19″ walleyes, left area to look at some wing dams to wait out the later shoreline bite. mangaged a few saugers, nothing big using mainly grubs on a jig with no bait. did catch some average size saugers, pitched a few wing dams with no success. went back to a shallow shoreline area about 4pm, started out slow, but things did pick up, light jig (homemade) and 5″ grubs did put a few walleyes in the boat. 19,19 20,17,21, and 18 inchers, solid fish and plenty of fun. no big fish, tho. think I’ll keep checking out this pattern and see if I can get a real nice picture fish in the boat in the next few weeks. weather was mild and not really cold, if the wind isn’t blowin, it isn’t bad at all.

thanks Dustin for your help in the last few weeks, worked out great. Jack.

    Jack,

Glad to see you found um.That last hour of daylight between 4:00 and 5:00 has been very good to me the last few trips. Keep it up and you will get your picture fish in the next few weeks. Make sure it gets posted for all of us to see also.

    See ya on the river!

    Dustin
