The bite is in full swing right now!!

Steve – sounds encouraging. Quick question… on the wingdam bite, have you been getting more fish on the outer tips of the wingdams near current? During the low flows this fall, I’ve been surprised how many fish I’ve caught along the entire wingdam, not just on the outer tip. In fact, some of my better fish have come from the inner half (towards shore). Just curious if its better to move quickly and focus on the outer tips, thus focusing more on the high percentage areas. You make a good point because not all wingdams are the same. To answer your question, for the most part its been the outer tips with the better flow that has proven best for me overall, but there are several wingdams that I will concentrate more on the inner portion because it consistently produces fish day in and day out. Truthfully, if its a good wingdam that I have confidence on I will put forth some time on all parts of the wingdam because sometimes you can scrounge out some unexpected fish in unexpected locations.
