Isn’t this a cute kitty cat? I could hardly lift it, as it was almost fatter than it was long. I wish we had taken a picture of it with its mouth wide open as I think it could have almost swallowed a basketball. Mitch Mitties and I did not have a scale but it felt like it weighed at least 10 pounds more than a 40lb bag of salt. It was caught on 11/11/03 at the pool 4 dam on a sonar while fishing for walleyes. It took about 20 minutes to land. That fish put up a bigger fight than any other fish I had caught in my life.
And yes, the walleyes/saugers were also biting on just about anything (hair, plastic, and metal) that you wiggled down there.
