I started my vacation today with a quick trip to pool 14. The bite started out very slow for us, we just kept checking spots intill we hit the right one. We pulled 11 fish off one dam , with a assortment of colors in Ringworms and paddle tails. We did pull a few more fish off a few other spots to end the day with 16 eyes. It was pretty cold and windy out there today so we called it a day around 1:00. It was a good way to start my vacation! Most of the fish were in the 19 to 21 inch range today.

Sound like you had a great day! The wing dam thing is all about timing . If you are luck enough to hit a dam that they are active on life is good. Some dams that are good fall spots I might hit 2 or 3 times in a day usally you will find biting fish a some point during the day. The thing to remember the big girls don’t spend alot of time at the dam. Most of my real good fish have come from miles down stream . Don’t give up on the wing dam thing.

jigfan, was that you just below me around 1:00 pm? I did not get to fish too long, from about 10 ’till 2, but the fish where sure smokin’ if you could handle the wind. I fished the wingdam you where on just before I quit, and pulled one more 22″er off of it, along with a monster sheepy!
I kept one 19″er to eat, and that fish had two 3-4″ sheepies in it’s stomach, yet still SMOKED my paddletail! Definetly on the feedbag in a big way.
Hope you are having a great time up on 4.
