So guys, who is gonna brave the temps tomorrow and hit the river?? I’m gonna try and get to Everts around 8:15ish. I’m taking friend and his dad out. I told them to wear their deer hunting clothes cuz it’s gonna be cold. Anyone else gonna brave the elements???

I am thinking about it. The family has been sick, so I may have to be a nurse. I think Sunday is more likely.

    We will see.

Sunday sounds better to me 2,…….Sunday is suppose to be a little warmer, maybe 2-5 degrees. This rise in the temp may keep the ice out of the guides in my rod.

Good Luck, maybe see you on the river on Sunday.

Gotta work on Sunday, but I’ve got all next weekend off. I’ll be down as long as it’s above 25.

I’m required to go out once a week whether I need it or not. My lady gives me the boot (in this case a large, very heavy lined boot) and says not to come back until I’m less crabby. Sure helps to be addicted to fishing. Sure helps to have her addicted to fishing, but hating cold weather. I think she wants to find out the lowest temp I can stand without actually losing skin.

    See you on the river!

Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, Teach a man to fish and you’ll never see him again.

Unfortunately, I have to go twice a week, not because I’m crabby more like its a fix or something. If I dont go twice THEN I get crabby. I also HAVE to go just so Dustin has someone to complain to when he can only boat 20+ eyes in an outing. LOL.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did have quite a bit of ice on the guides last Saturday. The fishing was definitely slower than last weekend, but still worth the trip. The two guys I took out seemed to enjoy the day even though they couldn’t get their fingers to work at times. A guy sure hates to snag up and re-tie on days like Saturday.
