No Meat.

Went to Pool 4 today intent on catching 100 fish without any live bait. Launched at Everts about 10:30, went straight to the dam, and had our first fish with in a minute. Got it on a Nils Master ice jig. Fished until 4:00, and ended up with 72. Caught fish on power shads, jigging spoons, ring worms, blade baits, ice jigs, everything but meat. The last three we caught throwing jigs in the rip rap. The rest came from 14-31′. Awesome day. Great bunch of guys on the river, (but not too many). We sure are fortunate to have such a great resource in our back yard! Keep it vertical.

GP, what boat were you in?? I was the guy in the little lund who had to run the big motor because my trolling motor was dead. I only fished for about 4 hours in the morning, but what a day. I kept a few saugers since I haven’t eaten fish since July. Those 17″ saugers will make a nice meal this week….

I was in the 2025 Warrior. Sure was nice to see that several guys had their kids out with them! I am going to take my 5 yr old down there for a couple of hours today. This bite spoils everybody!!

I was thinking the same thing, sure wish my Dad could come up fishing. Let us know how you did. It should be another beautiful day on the water!!!

Another awesome day! My son had a blast. At 5 he’s not good at much but netting fish. It’s so “smokin”, as James put it, that he definately didn’t get bored today! We were only out for a couple of hours. Nothing changed since yesterday. Lots of fish, lots of fun. Keep it vertical.
