I usually expect to fish a bit deeper, a bit smaller and MUCH slower. Instead of fishing a mongo grub I’d opt for a light hair jig… maybe even tipped wiht a minnow. Instead of looking for active fish up shallow in the rocks I’d look for fish out deeper, hanging at the base of the first major break off the shoreline. And instead of trolling quickly of snap jigging I’d expect the need to hover over fish and give them time to strike or cast lighter jigs and swim them as slowly as possible through the area holding fish.
