I have not seen any posts lately for Hutch tackle jigs I was wondering if he is still around? If not who else makes a jig like his? Also if you had to stock up on jigs what size and colors would stock up on without breaking the bank?

    Thanks Kirt

He is still around, Ijust received a package in the mail the other day from him. All I did was give him a general idea of what I wanted (jigs, bucktails, etc.) and the area I fish the most, and he set me up. Just send him an email, for me that was the best way to get a hold of him. His web site is riverwalleyes.com

You just can’t beat Hutch! I got some one eyes from him this week. For great baits and tips on how to use them he is the best. Give him a call, you won’t be disapointed with the price either……B

Hey Kirt if you fish pool 4 I would stock up on 1/8 to 5/16 oz Bucktails. and as far as color goes go with black/black, green/black purple/black and of coarse your lime greens and chartruese.

just thought I would voice my preferences be interesting to see what everyone else has to say.

I agree with walleyeboys on colors with the addition of blue, blue/white, purple and purple/’white for bucktails and chartruese, chartruese, chartuese or yellow for twisters, or on a really tough bite try chartruese!…B

I went to a fishing seminar once and the walleye pro told all of us that he will use any color as long as it is chartreuse. While I really don’t buy into his humor, there’s too many other good colors for walleyes, I just thought I’d thow that comment out there.

sometimes its a good idea to use something different then everyone else is using… there are TIME when they will only go on a limited color selection… but usually there is a number of colors they will jump on….. my basic colors depend on partly on where Im fishing… on pool 2, I like blue or purple usually combined with white or pink, on the st croix I like green or chartruese combined with black or white, on pool 4, black and orange and green combined with a variety of colors depending on water clarity and time of day, brighter colors for dirtier water and low light……. usually combining these basic colors with some other color is the trick for a day… it seems sometimes certain combos work like magic….. ive seen it before… other days it dont matter the bite is strong on everything……

This post reminds me that I need to get ahold of “Hutch” again and order a bunch more jigs. This past week was tough on my hairjig supply.

    Anyone have his number handy?

    Thanks
