Here’s a pair from Pool 4 of the Mississippi River near Red Wing, MN that will turn a few heads!
This first pic comes out to us from John Peterson. In his own words…” I picked up this beautiful ‘eye under a log about 1/4 mile down from the dam in pool 4 on a “True Motion” shad (please don’t laugh). She weighed in at 9# at 28 3/4″ with a 16″ girth and was caught and released 11-17-01 just below the dam in Red Wing, MN. My girlfriend did a great job netting it on the first try but had a little trouble getting the net into the boat…classic!!”
This second pic comes out to us from Jeff Brown and is a pic of his fishing partner Darin Hokanson with an 8 lb walleye they caught and released on pool 4 Redwing 11/6.
Awesome fish guys! We all thank you both for putting them back to grow just a bit bigger for the next angler that is luck enough to tangle with one of those trophies.
