Well I know that I will sound like a broken record.
However Yesterday was chilly and windy and I had a half day trip. My choice was to pull live bait rigs on some sand flats. We boated a fair amount of fish but only found one legal walleye, many sheepies, white bass and a kitty.
So back to the dock and say good bye and thanks for fishing with me.
I am just ticked cause we did not get on the fish that were there yesterday. So anyway I decide to go back and pitch some paddle tails on some current seams. Seam one nothing seam two nothing. However seam number three was the jack pot, first cast 17 inch eye. For the next 40 minutes I was bit every cast some times three too four nips per cast. I caught sheepies, white bass, northern and walleye on this seam. Here is a photo of a 25 inch white tail. The next cast after I caught this eye, I hit another big fish, and against the current they even act bigger. Well it is a northern in the five to eight pound range I get it in the net and the hook pops out and it jumped right out of the net, with my lousy one hand technique. Oh well all I wanted was a photo anyway.

Anyway all those fish came on a Pro Blue paddle tail, and I tried other colors and other plastics. The water color and temp is just perfect for them right now.

Good luck out there and hope to see you on the water.
