I was fishing the Wisconsin River today for walleyes and smallies. I started throwing cranks and was able to catch a couple of walleyes and smallies. For the most part the crankbait bite was slow for me so I swithced to ringworms with very little success. Before I decided to call it a day I switched to throwing a 3 inch tube for bass. After a few casts I managed to catch a sauger and a nice walleye before I called it a day.
This is the second time that I have caught walleyes on tubes while fishng for bass. Has any of you walleye fisherman actually used tubes targeting walleyes?
