Cranks , Cranks , Cranks !! OMG I never threw so many cranks in one day . Pool 4 w/ James produced almost 30 , 17″ to 221/2 ” walleyes on tuesday. My arms and my shoulders are hurtin soooo good .lol . We played with several different methods of fishing but the cranks out produced all of them. I had an awesome time fishing with James Holst and if you haven’t fished with him yet you definately owe yourself a day with him. Thanks James ^ 5

All I can say is I’m glad James is a fishing guide and not some cult leader. I guess, in a way, you may consider him one, a fishing cult leader… LOL My personal opinion, James’ best asset is his ability to share his passion for the sport. I can “hear” it in his reports and posts.

I’ll be on the water with him again this next year at least once and probably twice….hope my wife isn’t reading this.

The fact that this is an unmoderated board and yet I have never heard a complaint or bad thing about him says a lot about James.I fished with him the day the water level peaked for the second time this spring. The river was raging and unfishable, the north end of Pepin had so much garbage floating that it was also unfishable. It was one of those days that I honestly didn’t expect to catch anything. Well we might not have caught any piggies that day but we did boat several fish. I could tell James was a little frustrated, but I didn’t know how much untill the end of the day when he said he would consider payment “optional”. I don’t think many professional guides would do that. Especially when I thought we had a pretty good day.
