Pool 2

I was thinking of hitting pool 2 wed. morning, can a guy put a boat in and out at the 494 landing by himself ok? I have never fished pool2 before any advise would be greatly apprecated. THANKS

You can, the dock isnt in yet so your going to have to beach your boat. Besides that I do it all the time.

yes you can put in there by yourself. as far as fishing goes, you can start by fishing wingdams, rip rap shoreline, and any breaks you can find that go from the main channel up onto flats (preferably sand) that are just out of the current but with deep water nearby. This is where you’ll find the bigger walleyes right now. they are in transition and moving towards spawning grounds so you have to find spots that would hold migrating fish and intercept them. another good spot would be out in front of the entrances to backwater lakes (another common spawning area.) Saugers can be found at the confluence and in the deeper holes by the airport by vertical jigging plastics or live bait. Good luck.
