FINALLY made it out this past Friday for the first time since last November. Sure felt good to be back on the water!
When I got home Thursday night after work the Mrs. was just finishing up the baking. When I reached for the fresh-out-of-the-oven goodies she swatted my hand away and said, “Those are for Dean”! Then she pointed to a few misshapen, burnt around the edges cookies…..”Those are yours”. 
The bite for us was pretty dang slow for P4 standards but we were able to peck around and find a few fish here and there. We took Dean’s advice and grabbed a scoop of minnows to help add a little extra insurance which seemed to help. We only scrounged up a doz. or so legals for the day and caught fish anchoring, casting, jigging and dragging on the usual presentations. Best fish was around 25.75″ and had another at 24″ to start the day so no real giants for us. As is often the case this time of year our best action was the last hour or so of light.
Any other 10 lb plus bigguns’ out of Evert’s over the weekend besides that dandy caught by Mr.Tate?
