Man it was a nice day on the water. The fish were out to feed, the sun was out and the temp was nice. Started out the morning dragging ringworms up river with a good consistant bite till about 1030. Then things slowed down to a fish here, fish there, with a couple spirts of 2-3 fish till we left at 230. Fish showed a strong preferance for firecracker/chartuse tail, With a couple fish comming on purple/chartuse tail. The size of the fish today were very impressive, with the smallest fish of the day tapping out at 17″. Largest fish was 22.5″ Hopefully I can fish these fish for the “Freeze your butt tourny”. If you get the chance to hit the river anytime soon, make sure you dont pass it up.

Those are some nice looking fish!!! How was the ice? It was clearing out through the day on Saturday so suspect it was pretty good by yesterday. Sounds like the bite definitely picked up from Saturday to Sunday. Good luck at the FYB, we’ll see ya there.

Redneck, There was some ice, not too bad though. Most of the ice I ran into was the frozen bubbles, which were gone once it got warm enough. Good Luck to you at the FYB too.
