Fished pool 8 on saturday afternoon. Fished from 3:oo until 6:30. The bite was only from about 4:45 until 5:30.
Nothing fast and furious but I managed 3 sauger,16,15,and a 12to help the fish fry. I was set up on a current break and a drop-off in 17FOW. Fish were very tough to coax a bite out of. I would get a lot of lookers on the Marcum. I would only get about one bite on any jig then I would have to change colors. I used jigging Raps in blue-chrome, firetiger, and chrome clown. I also used an orange hair jig.
I started using full minnows on the raps but I either was not getting bit or could not feel the bite, I then switched to heads and that seemed to help. THis was my third time in this area there is definitely a pattern,or a window,if you want to call it that, that is very small but it is consistent.

    Tight lines,
    Bryce

P.S. Just what we need more snow!
